OpenAI DevDay: OpenAI hosted its first ever ‘DevDay’ announcing GPTs, custom AI agents that will be available for monetization on its highly anticipated GPT Store. Sadly, the release of GPT Store has been delayed to next year. OpenAI also announced a ton of other features.

Microsoft Ignite: Microsoft announced it is getting into the AI computer chip game and rebranding Bing to Copilot.

AWS re:Invent: Amazon announced Titan for image generation and Q as a chatbot for businesses.

LARGE LANGUAGE MODELS (LLMs)

GROK AI: Elon Musk announced GROK, an AI with attitude.

Claude 2.1: Anthropic announced Claude 2.1 with a larger context window than ChatGPT.

Inflection-2: Google’s Deepmind founder announced Inflection-2, an LLM claiming to be only second to ChatGPT.

Gauss: Even mobile device maker Samsung decided they are getting into the LLM game.

Copilot: Microsoft Bing is officially rebranded to ‘Copilot’

Olympus: Amazon announced Olympus, which promises to give Alexa a major upgrade.

Q: Amazon also announced Q, not to be confused with OpenAI’s Q*. This LLM sits on top of companies’ AWS platforms allowing employees to query against company data.

ChatGPT-5 and Q*: OpenAI announced it is creating ChatGPT-5. Meanwhile, questions remain whether Q* is the real reason for Sam Altman’s firing. Rumors are Q* is a giant leap to achieving true AGI. Is Sam planning to power ChatGPT-5 with Q*?

OpenAI wasn’t the only drama this month. Hollywood reaches a tentative deal to end the actors strike.

Sarah Silverman’s lawsuit against Meta takes a step back as federal judge dismisses much of her complaint over copyright infringement.

Even though US courts rule against Silverman, Chinese courts rule AI images can be copyrighted.

Numerous countries agree to make AI ‘secure by design’, but what power and control do they really have over companies like OpenAI, Google, Meta, and Amazon? Time will tell.

Former Apple employees announce the AI Pin by Humane. An AI-embedded wearable device that can interpret the world around it, make phone calls, and seamlessly translate to other languages in real-time using your own voice.

Forward announces the world’s first AI doctor’s office, the CarePod.

PANDA, not the animal, promises to use AI for early detection of pancreatic cancer.

Google’s DeepMind sets its sights on using AI to predict a more accurate weather forecast.
