Google Dropped A BOMBSHELL With GEMINI
But Is The Hype Worth It?

Hello WKND AI Warriors!
Christmas and New Year’s are right around the corner, but AI shows no sign of slowing down.
Google made a huge announcement this week with the release of their highly anticipated AI model, Gemini.
Google has delayed Gemini several times, but abruptly released it this week.
Gemini is currently available if you use Bard or have a Google Pixel 8 Pro phone.
The hype was real when Google made the announcement.
Many proclaimed Gemini to be the ChatGPT killer.
But as the dust settled and more information came out, people realized that Gemini was NOT living up to the hype.
Sure, if we rewind two years ago, all of our minds would have been blown by Gemini’s capabilities.
But in today’s world, expectations are high.

Our friendly neighborhood AI expert, Matt Wolfe, provides an in-depth breakdown of Google Gemini’s features.
So, is Google's Gemini really the ChatGPT killer?
The answer might surprise you.
But first, why the hype?
1️⃣ Google pioneered transformers.
Transformers power ChatGPT.
2️⃣ Google has been relatively low-profile.
There's Bard, but ChatGPT steals the spotlight.
3️⃣ Gemini kept getting delayed.
Excitement has been building.
So, what comes with Google Gemini? 3 models.
𝗨𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗮 = Large model for highly complex tasks.
Comparable to ChatGPT-4.
Not even available until early 2024.
𝗣𝗿𝗼 = Medium model for wide range of tasks.
Comparable to ChatGPT-3.5.
Available now at 'bard.google.com'.
𝗡𝗮𝗻𝗼 = Small model for mobile device tasks.
Expected to compete with rumored AppleGPT.
Available now on the Google Pixel 8 Pro.
Overall, benchmark tests hint at Ultra's edge over GPT-4.
But barely and GPT-5 is around the corner.
Gemini's secret weapon?
It was built multimodal from the ground up.
So what?
ChatGPT was built as a language model first.
Then audio and video were added later.
Google claims "stitching" text + audio + video is suboptimal.
While Gemini was born multimodal.
Google argues this integrated approach is the future.
𝗠𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲: Gemini is 𝗡𝗢𝗧 the ChatGPT killer.
If you watch the demo video, everything seems seamless and real-time.
However, TechCrunch’s article revealed that Google had to feed Gemini with still images and prompt it to analyze.
Which suggests that Google’s demo video was HEAVILY edited in post-production.
Did Google jump the gun?
Many speculate that despite constantly announcing Gemini delays, Google rushed it to market in order to capitalize on the fallout from OpenAI firing their CEO, Sam Altman.
This next video critically examines Google's claims, particularly the benchmarks where Gemini supposedly outperforms human experts and ChatGPT-4, revealing inconsistencies in the comparisons.
The authenticity of Google’s demo video is also called into question as it may be more edited and less real-time than perceived.
Until Google Gemin’s Ultra model is released, we won’t know for sure.
