Rabbit Inc. unveiled an exciting new mobile device called the Rabbit R1 at CES 2024.

It runs entirely on its own internal "large action model" AI for lightning fast voice response.

Key Details:

• Fully self-contained, no need for apps or monthly fees

• Natural language interface activated by push-to-talk

• Touchscreen, camera, global cellular connectivity

• Can complete complex multi-step tasks like planning a vacation

• Cost only $199 with no subscription or hidden fees.

Our Take:

The Rabbit can learn new skills through a "teach mode". No more jumping between apps - just ask and it handles everything seamlessly end-to-end.

While the R1 claims to operate without traditional apps, it likely still relies on existing apps behind the scenes for now.

However, it's unclear if AI alone can match the innovation of companies like Spotify.

This could be a glimpse into a future where AI generates experiences on the fly without developer-created apps.

At just $199 with no subscription, the R1 offers incredible value compared to other AI assistants.

It starts shipping in March 2024.

Perplexity AI raises $74M from Jeff Bezos and NVIDIA. Now valued at $520 million, the company offers a chatbot-like interface for natural language queries and is exploring new frontiers in generative AI search technology.
