Inside Meta's $10 BILLION Bet On AI
AI in Davos, AI-Powered Galaxy S24, and MORE
Hello WKND AI Warriors!
Ready for Monday?
Zuck is going all in on human-like AI to the tune of $10 billion. But experts call it science fiction.
Also, AI is being trained to deceive humans...sketchy!
Plus, AI rivals teens in geometry and can copy your handwriting.
So, grab your beverage of choice and enjoy your weekly dose of AI news.

Mark Zuckerberg wants to give machines the ability to think like humans.
He recently declared that Meta will invest over $10 BILLION into developing artificial general intelligence (AGI) - AI that can learn any intellectual task and match human cognition.
How does Zuck plan to do this?
To realize this sci-fi vision, Meta plans to expand its computing power to support training sophisticated AI models.
This includes adding 350,000 new NVIDIA data center GPUs.
Zuckerberg also wants to eventually open source Meta’s AGI, allowing public access to the technology.
This would be a big win for democratizing AI.
But experts worry Meta may be rushing ahead blindly.
Some say sharing open-source AGI too fast could be “really scary” if it falls into the wrong hands.
While others doubt whether human-like AGI is even possible.
My Take:
Zuckerberg deserves credit for his wild ambition.
But is his AGI quest visionary…or just science fiction?
What do you think?
