What is Project Stargate?✨
Did Project Stargate really start under Trump?
The answer might surprise you.
But first, what is Project Stargate?
In a nutshell...
It's America's biggest AI investment ever:
✅ $500 billion commitment
✅ Massive AI data centers
✅ 100,000+ new jobs
Why are we spending so much?
AI experts agree that to get the AI we see in sci-fi movies—
We need more compute.
There's something called AI scaling laws.
Where as you give AI models more compute—
They get smarter.
Second, its the new arms race.
The US wants to create AGI before China.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲'𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲?
𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰
↳ The Information first reports on Project Stargate.
𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱
↳ Biden signs an executive order before leaving office to use federal land for AI data centers.
𝗝𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱
↳ Sam Altman formally announces Project Stargate at the Trump White House.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁?
$100 billion will be allocated in 2025.
The first data center begins construction in Abilene, Texas.
✔️ 10 buildings under construction
✔️ Each half-million square feet
✔️ Expanding to 20 buildings
✔️ $1.1 billion first phase
Other AI data center locations to be determined.
A total of $500 BILLION will be spent in the next 5 years.
𝗠𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲🤔
What will you and I get from Project Stargate?
Larry Ellison, CEO and Founder of Oracle, who is partnering with OpenAI, stated at The White House...
That we'll be able to cure cancer with vaccines.
Meanwhile last year he said we'll have mass surveillance to ensure everyone is "on their best behavior".
Not creepy at all.
Personally, I think the sky is the limit.
The Godfather of AI, Geoffrey Hinton, and Ray Kurzweil who predicted 'The Singularity' both posit that super artificial intelligence could have god-like power.
Like bringing your smartphone and drone shows back to medieval times.
Overall, I think there's a non-zero probability we'll get:
☑️ Curing disease and illness
☑️ Extending human longevity
☑️ Automation of blue collar jobs (AI Robots)
☑️ Automation of white collar jobs (AI Agents)
☑️ Breakthroughs in physics, energy, & material science
The real question is...
What will workers do in a Post-AGI Society?
Afterall we are human beings, not human doings.
Perhaps we'll enter the Age of Human Being…
Will Project Stargate get us to ASI (Artificial Super Intelligence)? |
Elon Musk claims Project Stargate project lacks secured funding. The Tesla CEO and Trump advisor alleges SoftBank has "well under $10B" committed, sparking public clash with OpenAI's CEO, Sam Altman.
4/ Larry Ellison on Stargate:
This project could transform healthcare—streamlining electronic health records and enabling customized vaccines to treat illnesses, even cancer. The possibilities are limitless.
Game-changing innovation.
